The 10-line checklist for cold mornings
A quick win before your first truly cold service, plus the issue to read first.
Hey there,
Here's one quick win you can do this week.
Write a 10-line "cold start" checklist. Propane level, water lines, generator, menu swaps, first social post. Then time yourself running it once, before your first truly cold service. Whatever takes longest moves to the top of the list.
One more cold-weather note: low or chilled propane cylinders lose pressure. That's why the griddle won't recover mid-rush. Start with fuller cylinders and swap before the rush, not during it. Never warm a cylinder with an open flame.
If you only read one issue so far, make it Issue #1: the cold-weather pivot. It covers catering, indoor markets, coffee add-ons, and propane and generators in the cold.
Down south? Your outdoor season is just starting. Issue #1 has a few November event dates too.
Stay mobile. Stay hungry. Stay in the know.
See you next week, Troy
